Report: Insights from Kitchen and Beaumer’s Experience at the MXON 2026 in Ernee

In a whirlwind two weeks, Max Kitchen and Pierce Beaumer have experienced a crash course in the high-pressure environment of international motocross, competing for Team USA at the 2026 Motocross of Nations (MXON) held in Ernee, France. Following Kitchen’s recent victory in the SMX title series, the duo quickly shifted focus to representing their country on the world stage.

“The transition has been intense,” Kitchen remarked. “Winning the SMX title last weekend and then heading straight to Paris was a lot to take in. I haven’t ridden outdoors in a while, but the team adapted well.”

Despite the challenges, Team USA is currently not positioned as favorites, allowing the riders to absorb the experience without the burden of expectations. “Ken Roczen advised me, ‘Take it in. Be proud and have fun,’” Kitchen noted, emphasizing the importance of cherishing the moment amidst competition pressures. “I looked up at the crowd during the first race, and it was incredible.”

As they continue their campaigns, both Kitchen and Beaumer aim to leverage these learned experiences for future successes, potentially paving the way toward a return to a winning tradition for Team USA in motocross.
