Prado to Miss Daytona Supercross, Recovery Ongoing from Seattle Crash
Jorge Prado, the Red Bull KTM rider, will not participate in the eighth round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series—the Daytona Supercross—due to injuries sustained in a recent crash during the Seattle SX.
Prado, who showcased his speed by earning the fastest overall qualifier in the 450SX class at Seattle, suffered a significant fall during the second qualifying session. Though he later attempted to compete in the heat race, Prado withdrew shortly after the start, acknowledging his inability to race safely.
The team confirmed via Instagram that Prado is sidelined for the upcoming Arlington SX, citing “no major injuries” but noting excessive swelling and irritation in his right shoulder joint, which requires further recovery time.
KTM’s Ian Harrison expressed optimism on Friday, indicating he expects Prado to be prepared to race at Daytona, pending continued assessment of his injury.
