Max Anstie Prepares for 2027 AMA Supercross Championship with ClubMX Yamaha
Max Anstie is gearing up for the 2027 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship, aiming to extend his impressive streak of podium finishes in opening rounds. The veteran motocross rider has secured a spot on the podium in the last four consecutive 250SX season openers, with two victories among them.
Most recently, Anstie achieved a notable third-place finish at the 2023 Houston SX, marking his debut race with the Fire Power Honda (now Quad Lock Honda) team. He finished the 2023 season ranked third overall in the 250SX championship.
In 2024, Anstie demonstrated his competitive edge, finishing second at the Detroit SX 250SX East Division opener, behind Austin Forkner. This event was marked by a significant first-turn crash, resulting in a chaotic start to the season. Subsequently, Anstie concluded the season in fifth place.
The following year, at the 2025 Tampa SX, Anstie clinched his first victory with the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing team. This event was particularly significant as it saw a red flag due to a severe crash involving Pierce Brown, which ultimately concluded his season. Anstie faced injuries of his own at Birmingham SX, ending the season in ninth place.
Anstie’s most recent season-opener triumph came at the 2026 Anaheim 1 SX, where he capitalized on the struggles of the field favorites like reigning 250SX West champion Haiden Deegan. With a strong performance, Anstie won the race, concluding the 2026 season ranked third in the 250SX West championship.
Currently, Anstie has yet to announce which division he will compete in for the 2027 season. The Anaheim 1 SX will initiate the 250SX West Division, while the Tampa SX on February 6 will usher in the East Division. With his proven track record, fans and analysts alike are eager to see if Anstie can maintain his podium streak in his first race with ClubMX.
