Michael Mosiman Prepares for 2024 Season with Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing

Michael Mosiman is set to return for his third season with the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing team after recovering from a significant crash at the Unadilla National. The California native participated in the recent SMX Media Days, confirming his readiness to compete and his preference to race in the 250SX East Division.

Mosiman cited the extended off-season provided by the East Coast series as a key factor in his decision. He believes this will allow him to establish a stronger fitness base, crucial not only for the opening rounds of supercross but also for the subsequent AMA Pro Motocross Championship and SMX Playoffs.

“I requested East Coast because there’s a longer off-season,” Mosiman explained. “When you’re in the season, it’s difficult to build your fitness, and having that extended break helps maintain a solid base throughout the year.”

He also expressed a desire to overcome past challenges at Daytona International Speedway, where he has recorded two did-not-finish (DNF) results. “That’s a challenge I want to conquer and overcome, and I want to have success at Daytona. I think that would be a really special achievement to add to my resume,” he stated.

Currently, uncertainty remains regarding his official placement in the upcoming season, with speculation of a possible switch to the West Division. Regardless of the division, Mosiman is focused on leveraging his training to secure a successful campaign ahead.
