Thrasher Overcomes Injury to Secure First Win of 2026 Season
Cleveland, OH – Nate Thrasher, a noted title contender for the 2026 Supercross season, triumphed at the recent Cleveland round, marking a significant turnaround after battling through a shoulder injury sustained in the off-season. His season began with disappointing finishes of 11th, 7th, 10th, and another 10th, raising concerns about his performance.
In the post-race press conference, Thrasher addressed his condition, stating, “I didn’t really know what was going on… we were obviously battling that. I was trying to win, and that didn’t really go to plan, so we knew we had to come up with a solution.” Following a breakthrough before the Detroit round, Thrasher demonstrated improvement, culminating in a strong performance.
After leading in Detroit before a fall in the whoops section, Thrasher improved his results with finishes of 4th, 2nd, and ultimately a victory in Cleveland. “It’s not my first, but it’s cool to keep the streak going. I have won every year I have raced,” he remarked on his ongoing success across six seasons. He highlighted the collective progress within the sport, emphasizing, “Everybody’s getting better every year, so you have to step up your game too.”
Looking ahead, Thrasher aims to build on this momentum in the upcoming rounds, stating his goal to secure consecutive wins.
