Russell Buccheri Competes at The Wick 338: A Local Return
Westley, MA – Russell Buccheri made his second professional appearance at The Wick 338 over the weekend, marking a significant return to a track where he honed his skills during his youth. Competing in the latest round of the Pro Motocross series, Buccheri finished with results of 29th and 32nd in the motos, placing him 31st overall.
Having raced at The Wick 338 on 85cc bikes in his formative years, Buccheri expressed gratitude for the presence of family, friends, and supporters during the event. "It’s definitely really cool to be able to have a bunch of fans come up at the local races, the hometown races, and sign some autographs," he stated in a post-race interview.
Despite the home advantage, Buccheri acknowledged the challenge of adapting to the rigors of professional racing. He noted that his goal moving forward is to enhance his performance in qualifying sessions, aiming to "be a little more comfortable being uncomfortable."
Next weekend, Buccheri plans to implement this strategy as he heads into the next race of the summer season, following his opening round at the High Point National.
The full post-race interview is available for fans and analysts interested in deeper insights into Buccheri’s approach and performance.
