Red Bull KTM Expands 250 Program Ahead of 2027 Season
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing is set to enhance its 250 program for the 2027 season, welcoming rising stars Daxton Bennick and Ryder DiFrancesco. Both athletes bring impressive credentials from the 2026 season, where Bennick secured third in the 250SX East standings and a podium finish at the SMX Playoff 1 in Columbus, while DiFrancesco aims to leverage his strong amateur background to compete at the highest level.
Bennick expressed enthusiasm about his new role: “I’m so excited to be on the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team next year. It’s always been a dream of mine… I think we’re going to make a really good combination and go after the championships.”
The expanded 250 roster also includes Beau Beaumer, who has renewed his contract for a fourth season, and Belgian talent Lucas Coenen, a top competitor in the 2026 MX2 World Championship. This lineup reflects a strategic investment in young talent aimed at reclaiming championship glory.
Nathan Ramsey, the 250 Team Manager, highlighted the team’s potential: “I couldn’t be happier to add Dax and Ryder. They both had very strong seasons and should absolutely be in the championship conversation in 2027.”
Ian Harrison, the 450 Team Manager, emphasized the significance of the expansion: “We are incredibly excited to introduce our strengthened Red Bull KTM Factory Racing 250 program, which will debut with a four-rider lineup… This next step further underlines the brand’s READY TO RACE commitment into the future.”
The new 250 program will debut at the opening round of the 2027 AMA Supercross Championship in Anaheim, California, on January 9, alongside the factory 450 team featuring reigning SMX World Champion Jorge Prado and Coenen. The expansion not only reinforces KTM’s competitive edge but also signals a renewed commitment to success in U.S. motocross.
