Team Spain has announced its lineup for the 2025 Motocross of Nations (MXON), scheduled for October 3-5 at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana. In a significant shift, young talent Francisco García ‘Carbonero’ will replace Jorge Prado, who has withdrawn due to contractual issues with his current team, Monster Energy Kawasaki.

Spanish riders competing at the event include:

  • Rubén Fernández (MXGP) – Team captain making his debut in this category.
  • Guillem Farrés (MX2) – Coming off a successful season with a podium finish and a race victory.
  • Francisco García ‘Carbonero’ (OPEN) – Set to make his national team debut.

National team manager Paco Rico expressed confidence in the revised team. “I am convinced that we have a great team,” Rico stated. He emphasized Fernández’s role in showcasing Spain’s capabilities at the elite level, complemented by Farrés’s experience in MX2 and García’s youthful ambition.

Rico acknowledged the challenges faced in finalizing the team composition, including the impact of injuries and health issues among selected riders. He expressed gratitude to Honda, Triumph, and Kawasaki for their support, ensuring the team can effectively compete at this prestigious international event.

Team Spain’s strategic decisions aim to utilize the strengths of their diverse lineup to contend for a commendable result at the world’s foremost motocross competition.
