250SX West Round 1 Report: Levi Kitchen Battles Back to Secure Valuable Points

Levi Kitchen, racing for Team McAdoo in the 250SX West series, faced a tumultuous start at the opening round but managed to salvage a respectable sixth-place finish after an early setback.

In the main event, Kitchen, who was the fastest qualifier and secured second in his heat race, found himself last by the first turn due to a pile-up. Demonstrating resilience, he methodically advanced through the pack, moving from 20th to sixth, showcasing his skill and determination.

The team commented on Kitchen’s performance, highlighting his successful day leading up to the main event. Despite the chaotic start, Kitchen’s ability to regain composure and charge through competitors was a commendable effort.

Reflecting on the race, Kitchen stated, “It felt good to start the season with the fastest qualifying time. The speed is there, and the bike felt great all day. The main event didn’t go our way off the start, but coming through the field to salvage a sixth is something we can build on. It’s a long season, and this is just the beginning.”

As the series progresses, Kitchen aims to capitalize on this momentum to improve his standings in the championship.
