Injury Update: Triumph Factory Racing Team Faces Setbacks with Swoll and Forkner
The Triumph Factory Racing Team has announced significant setbacks as both Jalek Swoll and Austin Forkner will undergo surgeries due to injuries sustained in recent events.
Jalek Swoll exited qualifying at the Birmingham round with what was initially reported as an ankle injury. However, further examination revealed a severe Achilles injury to his right leg, requiring surgical intervention. This injury marks a troubling return for Swoll, who previously missed the entire 2025 Monster Energy Supercross season and the start of the AMA Pro Motocross series due to a prior Achilles injury. Notably, this latest injury affects his other Achilles tendon.
Austin Forkner faced a similar fate, fracturing his left hand during a practice crash before the Houston event. He will also undergo surgery this week to expedite his recovery, aiming to regain full fitness in time for the upcoming Pro Motocross series, where he is slated to ride the TF 250-X.
With both athletes sidelined, Jordon Smith remains the sole rider for the Triumph team, having secured a 9th-place finish in the 450SX class at Birmingham.
The team shared the following statement on Instagram regarding the injuries:
“Jalek has been diagnosed with a damaged right Achilles tendon and will undergo repair surgery this week followed by a period of rehabilitation. Austin has sustained a fracture in his left hand and will have surgery this week as well. Speedy recovery, boys! 🦾”
As the situation develops, the focus will shift to the rehabilitation timelines for both riders and their potential return to competition.
