Masterpool Faces Major Surgeries Following Injury During Testing
In a recent update, motocross rider Masterpool revealed he will undergo significant surgeries on his shoulder and ankles. The injuries occurred during routine testing, where his shoulder dislocated unexpectedly. Team manager Bobby Fisher quickly assisted in relocating the shoulder, but subsequent medical assessments highlighted a substantial labrum tear requiring surgery. Doctors have estimated a recovery period of three to six months.
In addition to the shoulder injury, Masterpool has dealt with chronic ankle pain for much of his life. Although he initially opted against surgery for his ankles, the necessity of recovering from shoulder surgery has led him to pursue simultaneous treatment.
“I’ve managed to push through the pain during races, but now that I have to be sidelined, I see it as an opportunity to address these long-standing issues,” Masterpool stated.
Facing a challenging season as a privateer and having invested considerable resources into his racing efforts, he expressed disappointment over missing competition opportunities.
“It’s tough to handle needing such significant surgeries without a crash to blame,” he noted. “But I believe that this will ultimately work out for the best.”
Masterpool is currently focusing on maintaining his fitness leading up to the surgeries, indicating his commitment to a strong recovery. He plans to keep fans informed about his rehabilitation progress, hoping to return to competition soon.
