Injury Update: Supercross Season Setbacks
As the supercross season progresses, several key riders are sidelined due to injuries sustained both in competition and during practice.
Injured Riders:
- Beaumer: Suffered a burst fracture of the L3 vertebra during the SMX Playoffs last year, ruling him out for the entire supercross season.
- Bourdon: Sustained ligament damage and multiple fractures in both wrists earlier this year, also ending his season.
- Chambers: Broke his wrist in practice, effectively sidelining him for supercross.
- Hymas: Dislocated his left shoulder at A2 and has not raced since. He will miss upcoming rounds in Denver and Salt Lake City.
- Jorgensen: Has dislocated and fractured his wrist during practice, leading to a season-ending injury.
- Linville: Set to make his debut with Triumph Racing in Denver after a severe pre-season crash that resulted in five broken ribs, liver laceration, and a collapsed lung.
- McAdoo: Fractured the top of his humerus in Seattle but is confirmed to return for the Denver race this weekend.
- Mosiman: Currently rehabilitating from a dislocated elbow, along with fractures to his radius, fingers, and various hand bones, aiming for a recovery in time for Pro Motocross.
As injuries continue to impact the roster, teams will need to strategize around these changes as the season unfolds.
