Philadelphia Supercross: Davies Clinches 250SX Title; Roczen Dominates 450SX
In a wet and muddy Philadelphia Supercross on Saturday night, Cole Davies secured the 250SX main event victory and clinched the championship title early. Seth Hammaker, despite his efforts to challenge, crashed while pursuing Daxton Bennick for second place, allowing Davies to solidify his lead in the standings. Bennick achieved a personal milestone, finishing second for the first time beyond an opening round, while Hammaker recovered from a lap-one endo to complete the race.
In the 450SX class, the championship front-runners showcased their skills in both the heat and main events. Ken Roczen took command of the race, while Hunter Lawrence, running second, suffered a crash late in the race. Cooper Webb capitalized on this, moving into second place and mounting a late race charge. However, Roczen maintained his lead, ultimately taking the victory and regaining the championship points lead, having previously trailed by 31 points just weeks prior.
Post-race comments from all six podium finishers—Davies, Bennick, Hammaker, Roczen, Webb, and Lawrence—have been compiled into a 12-minute highlights video, showcasing insights and reflections on the challenging conditions and race strategies.
