Las Vegas, Nevada — The SuperMotocross World Championship Final concluded with a thrilling display, where Jo Shimoda clinched the 250SMX title and Jett Lawrence secured his third consecutive 450SMX championship.
In the 250SMX class, Shimoda faced a challenging start, positioning himself around tenth early in the second moto. Following an altercation with Haiden Deegan, who attempted to alter the points standings, Shimoda regrouped and executed a last-lap pass on Tom Vialle, resulting in a 1-2 finish for the overall win. Seth Hammaker, capitalizing on his moto victory with a 1-2 scorecard, finished second on the night and in the championship standings. Vialle’s consistent performance with a 4-3 result rounded out the podium.
In the 450SMX, Jett Lawrence demonstrated exceptional skill with a late-race surge to secure second place in moto two, cementing his overall victory. His balanced performance—1-2 finishes—outpaced his brother Hunter Lawrence, who logged a 3-1, leaving Eli Tomac with a 2-3 for third in both the race and the championship.
