Pro Motocross: Deegan Dominates at Southwick

Southwick, MA – Haiden Deegan delivered a commanding performance in the latest round of Pro Motocross, achieving a decisive 1-1 victory at Southwick, marking his fourth win in five races this season.

In the first moto, Deegan took an immediate lead, clinching the Pro Motocross Holeshot and quickly establishing a gap of over 15 seconds. Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing teammate Michael Mosiman held strong in second, while a misjudged move by Red Bull KTM’s Tom Vialle, who tipped over, allowed Triumph Factory Racing’s Mikkel Haarup to temporarily occupy third. However, Mosiman ultimately battled with Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Levi Kitchen, who seized second place in the closing laps after Mosiman’s pace waned.

Deegan’s finish was a dominant 25.1 seconds ahead of Kitchen, with Vialle recovering to secure third on the final lap.

The second moto mirrored the first with Deegan again securing the Holeshot. He quickly built a two-second lead over the field, including Kitchen and Triumph’s Jalek Swoll. As the race progressed, Honda HRC Progressive’s Jo Shimoda advanced to second, while Vialle moved into contention for a podium spot.

Deegan maintained control throughout, crossing the finish line with an 8.9-second lead over Shimoda and a comfortable margin over Vialle in third. This victory, his eighth moto win of the season, positioned Deegan as the first back-to-back winner in the 250 Class at Southwick since Tyla Rattray (2010-2011).
