Ferrari Celebrates Historic Prototype Championship Win in Maranello
Ferrari marked a significant milestone earlier this week with a public celebration of its first prototype manufacturers’ world championship victory in 53 years. The event, held in Maranello, featured a parade of the Ferrari 499P Hypercars from the headquarters to the Ferrari museum, mirroring the festive atmosphere after their 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans triumph.
Drivers Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, Nicklas Nielsen, Antonio Giovinazzi, and Alessandro Pier Guidi participated in the event, with the latter celebrating his birthday. Notably, James Calado was absent due to personal reasons.
The day began with the drivers engaging with Ferrari employees over lunch, followed by an afternoon parade that drew enthusiastic crowds along the route. The event culminated in a well-attended public autograph session, further solidifying the team’s connection with its fanbase.
Ferrari’s success in the prototype category underscores the company’s commitment to competitive excellence and innovation in motorsport. As the team looks ahead, this championship win not only enhances their legacy but also sets the stage for future achievements in endurance racing.
