Speedy Motorsport Secures First Driver for GT4 European Series
Speedy Motorsport has confirmed Australian teenager Lachlan Evennett as its first driver for the 2026 GT4 European Series. The 17-year-old will pilot the GR Supra GT4 Evo2 in the Silver class. Previously, Evennett placed third in the National Australian Formula Ford Championship and secured victories in the Toyota GR86 one-make series.
“Exploring a different category in GT4 with the Toyota brand will be awesome,” Evennett stated. He is also set to compete in the Trans Am Australia series alongside this commitment. Speedy Motorsport will be making its full-season debut, having previously raced at the Barcelona season finale last year.
CEO Pedro Salvador expressed enthusiasm for Evennett’s addition, highlighting his focused mindset and commitment.
The 2026 GT4 European Series kicks off at Circuit Paul Ricard from April 10-12, 2026.
Seton & Gomersall Aim to Defend GT4 Australia Title
Defending champions Aaron Seton and James Gomersall are set to return to GT4 Australia in their #1 Gomersall Motorsport Ford Mustang GT4. The duo’s consistency last season earned them championship victory, with two race wins and ten podium finishes from twelve starts.
“It was an easy decision to come back and defend the title,” Gomersall remarked, noting the benefits of racing alongside Seton as a benchmark for improvement.
2026 SRO GT Cup Calendar Released
The SRO GT Cup has unveiled its 2026 calendar, consisting of nine races across five events. The season commences at Shanghai in March, supporting the Chinese Grand Prix. Notably, Zhuhai returns as a venue after being absent in 2025, while the finale location remains TBD but is expected to occur in Macau.

KRC Expands Asian Program
Team KRC will expand its GT World Challenge Asia operation, adding a second BMW M4 GT3 Evo to its lineup. The team, which clinched last year’s Silver-Am title, has not yet announced its driver roster. The season kicks off at Sepang on April 4-5, 2026.
Tigani Motorsport Confirms 2026 Entry
Tigani Motorsport will return to GT World Challenge Australia with its Geyer Valmont-branded AMG GT3 EVO. Driver Sergio Pires will partner with 2023 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe champion Brendon Leitch in a new co-driver role. The season opens at GT Festival Phillip Island on March 27-29, 2026.
Fach Auto Tech to Enter GT Open
Fach Auto Tech, a long-standing Porsche customer team, will debut in the International GT Open with two Porsche 911 GT3.Rs (992.2) this season. One car will compete in Pro-Am and the other in Am. The team previously secured the Pro-Am drivers’ title in the ADAC GT Masters.
The 2026 International GT Open begins on April 19, 2026, at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, Portugal.
