Kellymoss Returns to IMSA WeatherTech Championship with Full-Season Entry
Troutman, NC – Kellymoss, a prominent team in the Porsche Carrera Cup series, is set to make a return to the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, fielding the #17 Porsche 911 GT3 R in the GTD class for the 2027 season. This marks the team’s first full-season entry since 2023.
The lineup features IMSA debutant Michael Clark alongside three-time series champion Colin Braun. Kellymoss co-owners Victoria Thomas and Andy Kilcoyne have announced operational changes, with the team relocating to a new 13,000-square-meter headquarters in Troutman, North Carolina, sharing facilities with Riley Technologies.
“We’re excited to return to the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with Michael and Colin,” said Kilcoyne. “This significant step forward demonstrates our focus on building a competitive program.”
Colin Braun, who has driven for Acura Meyer Shank Racing in the GTP category over the past three years, carries a notable record with 26 career victories in 174 IMSA starts. His recent achievements include wins at the 2023 Rolex 24 At Daytona and Motul Petit Le Mans. Braun expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with Clark, stating, “We clicked right away as co-drivers and built a great friendship throughout the 2026 season.”
Michael Clark, who made his GT3 debut last year, is eager to take on the challenges of the IMSA series. “Competing at this level is a dream come true,” he said, acknowledging the support from Kellymoss and his co-drivers.
For the five-race Michelin Endurance Cup, Canadian driver Kyle Marcelli joins the team, marking his return to IMSA after competing in Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America in 2026. Marcelli highlighted the team’s track record and expressed excitement about contributing to Kellymoss’s efforts.
With a strong driver lineup and the backing of a well-established team, Kellymoss aims to reestablish itself as a formidable contender in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
