Jesse Krohn to Depart BMW M Motorsport in 2026 After 12 Successful Years
Finnish driver Jesse Krohn will exit BMW M Motorsport at the end of the 2025 season, concluding a notable 12-year partnership with the brand. The decision was confirmed in a recent BMW news release, indicating that both parties agreed not to renew his contract.
Krohn joined BMW in 2014 as part of the Junior Programme, subsequently achieving significant successes. Notable highlights include a class victory at the 2020 Daytona 24 Hours with Team RLL, an overall win at the 2025 Nürburgring 24 Hours with ROWE Racing, and a GT title in the Asian Le Mans Series with FIST-Team AAI in 2017/18. His stint in IMSA GTP in 2024 also featured a win at the Battle on the Bricks in Indianapolis.
In his statement, Krohn expressed gratitude for the opportunities at BMW M Motorsport, stating, “It has been a long, successful time… and I have had the privilege of being part of most of BMW M Motorsport’s top racing programmes.”
Andreas Roos, head of BMW M Motorsport, acknowledged Krohn’s contributions: “During our time together, I got to know him as a reliable racing driver… It is impressive to see how far he has come from being a junior driver.” Roos highlighted Krohn’s adaptability across various racing platforms and extended his best wishes for Krohn’s future endeavors.
