Manthey Racing Unveils Driver Line-Up for 2026 FIA WEC Season
Manthey Racing, the reigning LMGT3 class champion, has finalized its driver roster for the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), following the recent provisional entry announcement. The team aims to defend its consecutive titles and Le Mans victories with two evo-spec Porsche 911 GT3 Rs.
In the #91 entry, the squad features a strong lineup comprising former United Bronze driver James Cottingham, Timur Boguslavskiy, and Ayhancan Güven, marked as a new addition after his title-winning 2025 DTM season. The #92 vehicle will be piloted by reigning LMGT3 champions Richard Lietz and Riccardo Pera, alongside returning driver Yasser Shahin, who previously enjoyed a successful campaign in 2024.
Nicolas Raeder, Managing Director of Manthey Racing GmbH, expressed confidence in the team’s strategy: “We have strong new partners joining the team. Our goal is clear: to continue the momentum of these years and defend our titles.”
Güven, enthusiastic about his first WEC season, remarked, “We are putting together a strong package… our goal must be to fight for the title!” Meanwhile, Lietz acknowledged his excitement about reuniting with Shahin, stating, “Manthey’s track record speaks for itself.”
Shahin, reflecting on his return, added, “It feels fantastic to get behind the wheel with them again… I can’t wait to chase more success together.”
As Manthey prepares for the 2026 season opener in Qatar, the team remains focused on maintaining its dominance within the highly competitive LMGT3 field.
