Arrow McLaren Prepares Reserve Driver for Toronto Amid Siegel’s Medical Evaluation
Arrow McLaren has placed Linus Lundqvist on standby to drive the No. 6 Chevrolet at the Honda Indy Toronto, contingent upon Nolan Siegel receiving medical clearance. Siegel was involved in a significant crash during the Sukup 275 at Iowa Speedway, resulting in a hard impact that damaged the SAFER barrier. Subsequently, he was ruled out for Sunday’s Farm To Fresh 275.
"Nolan Siegel will be evaluated by the IndyCar Medical Team on Thursday morning ahead of his travel to Toronto," the team announced. "He will compete this weekend if cleared. For precautionary planning, Linus Lundqvist will join the team in a reserve driver role should Nolan not be cleared."
Lundqvist’s experience at Toronto includes a 24th qualifying position and a 13th-place finish in his previous IndyCar outing, driving the No. 8 Chip Ganassi Racing Honda. As the team looks ahead to this key event, the situation underscores the importance of driver health and preparedness in the highly competitive IndyCar series.
