Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America Extends Partnership with IMSA Through 2031
Monza, Italy – Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America has announced the continuation of its partnership with IMSA for an additional five years, ensuring that the one-make series remains under IMSA sanctioning until at least 2031. This extension builds on a successful 14-year history since the series began in 2013.
The announcement also heralds the introduction of the Lamborghini Temerario Super Trofeo, the next-generation race car set to debut in the 2027 season across Lamborghini’s continental championships in Asia, Europe, and North America. The Temerario, marking Lamborghini’s first in-house built race car at its Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters, will make its global racing debut at Sebring International Raceway, coinciding with the release of its GT3 variant.
Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America concludes its current season this week at the Lamborghini World Finals in Monza, Italy. The series maintains a full grid, with 36 cars entered in each domestic round and 18 different entries securing victories across four classes in 2026.
Andrea Reggiani, Lamborghini Head of Motorsport, stated, “We are proud to extend our partnership with IMSA through 2031. The continuity and stability of our calendar and racing format are key to building on the success we have achieved together with Super Trofeo.”
IMSA President John Doonan added, “This agreement with our partners at Lamborghini keeps that as part of the IMSA family for years to come. We look forward to the debut of the new Temerario Super Trofeo during our historic 75th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring weekend next March.”
