Lando Norris Adds Porsche 911 GT3 RS to His Collection
Lando Norris, the McLaren Formula 1 driver, has recently been seen in Monte Carlo with his latest acquisition: a Porsche 911 GT3 RS. This vehicle, part of an already impressive collection, is equipped with a range of advanced features, including the Weissach package, which contributes to a 15 kg weight reduction and enhanced performance characteristics.
The 911 GT3 RS boasts a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine, producing 518 horsepower—an increase from the standard version’s 502 hp. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, paired with a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, or 3.9 seconds with a manual gearbox. Notably, the car features a Formula 1-inspired drag reduction system on its rear wing, demonstrating its high-performance pedigree.
2025 F1 Season Update
Norris is currently second in the 2025 F1 drivers’ standings, trailing his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri by 13 points. His strong start to the season includes a runner-up finish at Imola, where he faced tough competition from Red Bull’s Max Verstappen.
After the Imola race, Norris commented, "Tough race, long race… It kind of goes away from you and then it comes back; just a bit of a race of patience today… We did a good job with the strategy going long in the first stint." He acknowledged that Red Bull’s pace was superior, noting, "I think the only downside is we didn’t have the pace to the Red Bull. They were very quick."
He elaborated on the challenges faced during the race, emphasizing the importance of consistency. "We just have to keep working," he said, highlighting the need for continuous improvement in performance.
This season marks a significant moment for McLaren as they build on past successes and aim for competitive consistency in the championship. As the season progresses, Norris and the team remain focused on refining their approach and maintaining their momentum in the standings.
