AF Corse USA to Compete with ORECA LMP2 and Updated Ferrari at Rolex 24
AF Corse USA has confirmed its entry into the 64th annual Rolex 24 At Daytona, fielding an ORECA LMP2 alongside a revamped entry in the GTD category. The updated No. 21 Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO, featuring reigning Michelin Endurance Cup champions Simon Mann and Lilou Wadoux, will make its competitive debut at this prestigious endurance race.
Joining Mann and Wadoux for the Michelin Endurance Cup is Ferrari Hypercar driver Antonio Fuoco, who recently secured victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2024. Fuoco, who has five seasons of endurance racing experience with Cetilar Racing, takes the place of Alessandro Pier Guidi in the No. 21 car.
The Daytona lineup also includes Tommaso Mosca, a 25-year-old Italian making his debut in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Mosca gained valuable experience during a test at Daytona in November, where he performed alongside Mann. He previously finished second in last year’s International GT Open.
Additionally, AF Corse USA is set to reintroduce its ORECA 07-Gibson LMP2, previously absent from the full-season entry list. The No. 83 AF Corse ORECA will be driven by François Perrodo, Matthieu Vaxivière, Dylan Murry, and Le Mans winner Nicklas Nielsen. This quartet remembers narrowly missing out on a strong finish at Daytona last year due to a late mechanical failure.
Perrodo has a storied background, being a multi-time champion in the FIA WEC and European Le Mans Series, and this race will mark his first IMSA start since 2023. The anticipation builds as AF Corse USA aims for strong performances in both the LMP2 and GTD categories at Daytona.
