Era Motorsport Finalizes Driver Lineup for 2026 Rolex 24 at Daytona
Daytona Beach, FL — Era Motorsport has completed its driver roster for the upcoming Rolex 24 at Daytona, prominently featuring former Formula 1 driver Logan Sargeant. Joining him are Ferdinand Habsburg, a seasoned competitor with accolades in the FIA World Endurance Championship, and tech entrepreneur Naveen Rao, all set to race the No. 18 Oreca 07 LMP2.
This will be Sargeant’s inaugural participation in the Rolex 24, although he has prior IMSA experience from two events last season with PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports. “I’m super excited to be tackling my first-ever Daytona 24 with Era to kick off 2026,” stated Sargeant, expressing his eagerness to connect with teammates during the ROAR before the main event.
Habsburg brings a wealth of experience, including an LMP2 class victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. “This will be my fifth time racing at the Rolex 24 and my first full IMSA Endurance season,” he said. He emphasized his commitment to winning, having come close in previous years, particularly in 2022.
Rao, who earned an LMP3 title, is optimistic about his new team: “We’ve built a strong team and I’m confident in what we can do together,” he remarked, focusing on preparations for Daytona.
As Era Motorsport approaches its seventh year in the IMSA LMP2 class, the team has secured two wins at Daytona previously. Team owner Kyle Tilley expressed confidence in the roster’s potential: “The LMP2 class is the most competitive it’s ever been, so we know it’s going to be tough. But just like every other year, we’re here to win,” he affirmed.
The 2026 Rolex 24 at Daytona is set for January 28, offering a promising season opener for the newly assembled team.
