Pfaff Motorsports Announces Driver Change for Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen
Pfaff Motorsports has confirmed that Sandy Mitchell will replace Marco Mapelli in the No. 9 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 for next week’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen. Mapelli is unable to participate due to his commitments at the Nürburgring 24-Hour Race with ABT Sportsline.
Mitchell, a driver for Lamborghini Squadra Corse, will make his first appearance in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship this season. Having previously competed in three IMSA events since 2022 for different teams, this marks his fourth team in as many races.
The Pfaff team, currently eighth in the GTD PRO standings, is coming off a successful outing with its first podium finish of the season at the Chevrolet Detroit Sports Car Classic. Mitchell’s addition is expected to bolster their competitiveness as they aim for improved results in the upcoming endurance race.
