Porsche Penske Motorsport Reveals 2026 IMSA Driver Lineup
Porsche Penske Motorsport has confirmed its driver roster for the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, following the recent closure of its FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) team. The announcement highlights the continuity of experience within its ranks, particularly among former WEC competitors.
Kévin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor, the reigning FIA Hypercar World Endurance Champions, will continue as a duo in the No. 6 Porsche 963. The pair has a proven track record, having finished second overall at the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans and secured victory at the Lone Star Le Mans in Austin, Texas. They concluded the WEC season fourth in the drivers’ championship standings. Matt Campbell will remain with this lineup as the Michelin Endurance Cup driver, maintaining his partnership with Estre and Vanthoor.
In a shift, Julien Andlauer will take over the No. 7 Porsche 963, succeeding Nick Tandy. He will team with Felipe Nasr, the only remaining full-time driver from the previous IMSA roster. Nasr, the 2024 IMSA GTP champion and two-time Rolex 24 At Daytona winner, will aim to build on his previous successes.
Laurin Heinrich, following an impressive tenure in the Porsche GTD PRO team, will serve as the Endurance Cup driver for the No. 7 entry. Heinrich made his prototype racing debut at the WEC 8 Hours of Bahrain, aligning him with Andlauer for a promising future.
Both Campbell and Heinrich will participate in the three longest races of the Michelin Endurance Cup, specifically the Daytona 24, the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, and the Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. As the 2026 season approaches, Porsche Penske Motorsport aims to leverage its strong driver lineup for competitive success in IMSA.
