Triarsi Competizione Unveils GTD PRO Lineup for Rolex 24 at Daytona
Triarsi Competizione has officially announced its four-driver lineup for the GTD PRO class at the upcoming Rolex 24 At Daytona. This marks the Orlando-based team’s inaugural participation in IMSA’s all-pro GT category for the full Michelin Endurance Cup.
The No. 033 Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo will be piloted by an accomplished quartet of Ferrari factory drivers: James Calado, Miguel Molina, and Alessio Rovera, accompanied by Italian racer Riccardo Agostini. Calado, a two-time FIA Hypercar World Endurance Drivers’ champion, secured the GTD PRO title at the 2024 Rolex 24 with Risi Competizione, alongside his previous 24 Hours of Le Mans victory with Ferrari AF Corse. Molina also boasts a Le Mans win, clinching overall honors with Ferrari’s Hypercar team in 2024. Rovera achieved a class victory on his Le Mans debut in 2021, while Agostini recently finished as runner-up in the European Le Mans Series LMGT3 standings.
Team Principal Onofrio Triarsi emphasized the significance of this moment: “This is the moment we’ve been building toward, and we couldn’t have asked for a stronger launch into GTD PRO. Ferrari’s incredible support has made this possible, and we have every reason to believe we can fight at the front from the very first lap at Daytona.”
Calado added, “Delighted to be returning to IMSA and the Rolex 24 with Triarsi Competizione. The new Evo is an absolute weapon, we have a proper line-up, and we all have the same goal – we want that watch.”
In addition to the GTD PRO entry, Triarsi Competizione will field the No. 023 Ferrari in the GTD class for the Michelin Endurance Cup events at Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen, Road America, and Road Atlanta. The team is coming off its first successful season in IMSA, highlighted by a victory at the Road America sprint race last August, followed by a runner-up finish at Virginia International Raceway.
