Entries Open for 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship
The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship has officially opened entries for the 2026 season, allowing teams to register for the full season, the Michelin Endurance Cup, or individual races until October 7, 2023. This deadline may be extended based on availability as the entry list is anticipated to fill rapidly.
Recent events demonstrate a heightened demand, with many IMSA races reaching full capacity and implementing reserve lists due to an overflow of entries. The Rolex 24 At Daytona, a highlight of the calendar, has seen particularly strong interest, underscoring the championship’s growing appeal.
IMSA President John Doonan reflected on this trend, stating, “The enthusiasm surrounding the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship continues to grow, and we’re once again expecting more entry applications than we can accommodate. It’s a testament to the strength of our platform and the commitment of our teams, manufacturers, and partners.”
Teams are reminded that the final confirmation of driver combinations and selected events is due by December 2, 2023, as IMSA aims to maintain a competitive and engaging championship for all stakeholders involved.
