FLORESVILLE, Texas — Cycle Ranch has announced a collaboration with Texas Sports Academy Online, an online school specializing in sports education, to launch a program tailored for K-12 students focused on motocross development. The initiative allows riders of all skill levels to integrate structured motocross training with academic progress.
Students enrolled in the program will receive a comprehensive education from Texas Sports Academy Online, featuring life skills training accompanied by flexible motocross sessions at Cycle Ranch, which can vary from 2 to 16 coached sessions each month. Training sessions typically occur from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. on weekdays.
The training team includes professional Supercross racer Hunter Schlosser and certified coaches Cory Cochran and Zach Gover, utilizing Cycle Ranch’s extensive facilities for rider development.
Iain Grae, owner of Cycle Ranch, emphasized the significance of this partnership: “Families have always had to protect school time from training time. This partnership gives motocross families a structured way to pursue both.”
For the 2026-27 school year, eligible students can access funding through Texas’ Education Freedom Accounts program, receiving up to $10,474 for attending approved private schools, including Texas Sports Academy Online.
Families interested in enrollment can schedule discovery calls or apply directly through Cycle Ranch’s website.
Yamaha Boosts Motocross Opportunities with Cycle Ranch Collaboration
FLORESVILLE, Texas — Yamaha Motor Corporation USA is enhancing the motorcycling experience for families through its Learn to Ride and Destination Yamaha programs in partnership with Cycle Ranch. This initiative aims to simplify the journey for new riders while expanding opportunities for ongoing training and motocross competition.
Cycle Ranch has significantly increased its Yamaha fleet, which now includes models ranging from beginner-friendly TT-R series to competitive YZ bikes. This expansion enables newcomers to start riding without the need for personal equipment. Iain Grae reiterated the impact of this availability, stating, “A family doesn’t have to buy motorcycles just to find out whether they love riding.”
The collaboration fosters a pathway for aspiring riders to progress from beginner lessons to full motocross competition, supported by trained instructors. This program was facilitated through relationships established by the United States Motorcycle Coaching Association, with support from Family Powersports.
USMCA Executive Director Lindsey Scheltema noted the program’s importance: “A positive first experience can shape someone’s relationship with motorcycling for a lifetime.”
Visitors to Cycle Ranch can now rent motorcycles and access training without transporting their bikes, further broadening participation in motorcycling.
Brett Valk, Manager of Destination Yamaha, encapsulated the goal of the initiative: “Yamaha is committed to creating more opportunities for people to experience motorcycling, from a family’s first ride to an experienced rider’s next adventure.”
Yamaha Learn to Ride experiences and motorcycle rentals are currently available at Cycle Ranch.
