Monster Energy Yamaha Prepares for 2026 Racing Season
Alghero, Italy – The Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP team embarks on the 2026 season with a powerful lineup, featuring a proven race winner and a seasoned champion eager to elevate their status. This ambitious roster seeks not just participation but dominance in MXGP.
The MXGP squad boasts the formidable talent of Tim Gajser, a multi-time champion poised to further solidify his legacy. His experience and competitive edge will be vital as he aims for another title.
In a complementary strategy, the Monster Energy Yamaha MX2 team is focusing on the unique dynamics of sibling competitors. Latvian brothers Karlis and Janis Reisulis will lead this effort. Karlis brings a season’s worth of MX2 experience, providing stability, while Janis, fresh off his 2025 EMX250 championship win, injects raw speed and confidence into the team.
As the off-season concludes, both teams are set to kick off their campaigns at the Internazionali d’Italia series. Gajser and the Reisulis brothers will compete in the opening round on February 1st in Alghero, followed by the second round in Mantova, Italy on February 8th. Additionally, Maxime Renaux will make his pre-season debut on February 8th in Pernes, France, before competing in the Hawkstone International in England on February 15th.
This strategic approach positions Monster Energy Yamaha as a formidable contender across the 2026 season, demonstrating their commitment to excellence in motocross racing.
