Nick Romano Joins Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki for Supercross Championship
Foothill Ranch, CA – In a significant addition to their roster, Monster Energy® Pro Circuit Kawasaki has announced that Nick Romano will compete for the remainder of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship. Romano will race in the Eastern Divisional 250SX Class, donning the No. 141, with his debut scheduled for the East/West Showdown at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama.
Romano fills the position left by Drew Adams, who is sidelined following thumb surgery after an injury sustained at Daytona Supercross. Adams’ recovery timeline remains uncertain.
Romano boasts a strong amateur background, having previously excelled with Kawasaki Team Green™, where he accumulated victories at notable events such as the Mini O’s and the Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross. Additionally, he achieved multiple podium finishes at the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Motocross Championship.
Turning professional in 2022, Romano has secured several Top-10 finishes in SMX events, although injuries limited his participation in 2025. Recently, he has been preparing for this opportunity by training on a privateer KX™450, facilitating a smooth transition to the Pro Circuit KX™250.
Nick Romano stated: “It’s a dream come true to join Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki. I’m really excited to work with this team. This opportunity could not have come at a better time, and I’ve prepared for it the best I can. I feel healthy and mentally clear and am ready to showcase my capabilities.”
Mitch Payton, Team Owner, commented: “We look forward to having Nick come on board. Having been a part of Team Green™, it’s great to have him back with Kawasaki. He’s been training all off-season for this opportunity and I believe he’ll make the most of it.”
Romano’s entry into the championship raises expectations for his performance as he aims to capitalize on his extensive training and experience.
