Ducati Accelerates Entry into Supercross for 2026
Ducati is set to make its Supercross debut in 2026, an ambitious timeline propelled by strategic partnerships with Troy Lee Designs and Factory Connection. The collaboration emerged from extensive discussions between Ducati’s leadership and key figures in the motorsports community, notably Ziggy, who brought valuable expertise to the table.
“We recognized the need to adapt our approach as Supercross differs significantly from motocross,” remarked a Ducati spokesperson. The decision to enter the Supercross arena earlier than initially planned—pushing the timeline from 2027 to 2026—came after rigorous evaluations of the team’s potential competitiveness.
“In July, we deliberated on whether we were ready to race. If we weren’t competitive, it wouldn’t make sense to enter the fray early,” the spokesperson continued. Following a thorough assessment, Ducati concluded that the team was prepared to tackle the challenges of Supercross, culminating in a collective decision to proceed.
As the season opener at Anaheim approaches, nerves and excitement are palpable within the team. “The first race will be a real test, but we believe we’ve reached a solid competitive level,” they stated, emphasizing the importance of this moment in the company’s motorsport history.
With 16 races ahead, Ducati is poised for an intense season ahead, leveraging the insights and support from its experienced partners to aim for success in the competitive Supercross landscape.
