Jorge Prado’s Performance at Houston Triple Crown: Key Insights
Houston, TX – Jorge Prado made his mark at the Houston Triple Crown event on Saturday, marking his first non-California Supercross race and debut in an indoor setting. Entering this race, Prado was a contender, known for his strong starts and pace suitable for the intense three-race format.
In the opening race, Prado finished fifth before demonstrating his speed in race two, leading for a significant portion before ultimately crossing the line in third. After two races, he was positioned fourth overall, still in contention for a top podium spot.
However, his momentum faltered in race three, where a poor start left him in 16th place at the holeshot stripe. Despite advancing five positions to finish 11th, his cumulative results of 5-3-11 placed him seventh overall for the night.
In a post-race statement, Prado reflected on his performance: “Riding-wise, I think this was a very good event. I got solid starts in the first two races, but I messed up big time in the first corner of the third race, which made it hard to pass. I’m disappointed with the overall result, but I’ll take the learnings into Arizona next weekend.”
Following this event, Prado is currently eighth in the championship standings, with initial season finishes of 3-13-7-7. The young competitor aims to bounce back as he prepares for the next race in Arizona.
