Haley to Part Ways with Spire Motorsports After 2024 Season
In a pivotal announcement, Spire Motorsports confirmed that driver Justin Haley will not return for the 2025 season following the finale at Phoenix Raceway. Haley, who pilots the No. 7 Chevrolet, has experienced a challenging season, securing only two top-10 finishes and currently sitting 31st in the championship standings with three races remaining. Notably, the team underwent a crew chief change earlier this season.
Co-owner Jeff Dickerson emphasized the gravity of the decision: “This is a decision that was not taken lightly. Justin has been a member of the Spire family since he was a teenager. We’ve watched Justin grow from a young driver trying to make his mark in the sport to a proven winner… He will be an incredible asset to his next team.”
Haley, who joined Spire at its Cup Series inception in 2019, contributed to the team’s first and only victory at Daytona International Speedway that year, a weather-shortened event. Over five seasons in the Cup Series, he has accumulated 177 starts, driving for Spire Motorsports, Kaulig Racing, and Rick Ware Racing.
Details regarding the future plans for the No. 7 team will be disclosed by Spire Motorsports at a later date.
