IMSA Teams Confirm 2026 Entries Ahead of Petit Le Mans

In a significant announcement ahead of the Motul Petit Le Mans, three IMSA teams have confirmed their participation in the 2026 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The complete entry list will be unveiled on October 9th during the IMSA State of the Series address.

Pfaff Motorsports

Pfaff Motorsports will continue its collaboration with Lamborghini, returning for a second season in the GTD PRO class with the #9 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2. The team secured its first podium this season at Detroit, despite facing challenges throughout the year. Lamborghini’s Chief Technical Officer, Rouven Mohr, commended Pfaff’s dedication and growth given the late start to their program after switching from McLaren. “I’m 100 percent satisfied,” Mohr stated during a media roundtable at Indianapolis. Pfaff plans to debut the new Temerario GT3 at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring in March, starting the season with the current Huracán model.

Pratt Miller Motorsports

Pratt Miller Motorsports will return to the LMP2 category with the #73 ORECA 07-Gibson after refocusing on prototype racing. The entry joins a burgeoning LMP2 field that includes teams like United Autosports USA and Bryan Herta Autosport. The Pratt Miller team, featuring drivers Chris Cumming and Pietro Fittipaldi, achieved a sixth-place finish at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in July.

Turner Motorsport

Turner Motorsport will continue its longstanding relationship with BMW, fielding the #96 BMW M4 GT3 EVO in the GTD class. The team has secured five top-five finishes this season, including three consecutive fourth-place results leading into Petit Le Mans. Drivers Patrick Gallagher and Robby Foley currently sit fifth in the GTD Drivers’ Championship, with the team fourth in the overall standings. Turner Motorsport has also found success in the Michelin Pilot Challenge and VP Racing SportsCar Challenge this year.

All three teams will announce their driver line-ups for the 2026 season in the coming weeks.
