Provisional Entry List for 2026 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour Released
The 2026 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour has announced a provisional entry list featuring 36 cars, marking the largest field since the 2020 event. This year sees 12 different brands participating, the greatest variety since 2019, bolstering the race’s reputation as a premier endurance challenge.
Notably, Haupt Racing Team will field a Ford Mustang GT3, competing against two Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs from Johor Motorsports Racing. This event signifies the first head-to-head between Ford and GM in Bathurst history, reviving a storied rivalry that dates back decades in Australian motorsport. The reigning champions, Team WRT, will return with two BMW M4 GT3 EVOs.
Arise Racing GT will also contribute two Ferrari 296 GT3s, further intensifying the atmosphere with a classic Ford vs. Ferrari narrative. Additional BMW representation comes from the newcomers at Team KRC, alongside established competitors.
A formidable lineup of Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVOs will participate, spearheaded by Grove Racing, which includes an 11-car effort comprised of teams like Tigani Motorsport and Heart of Racing by SPS. EBM (Earl Bamber Motorsport) leads a quintet of Porsche 911 GT3 Rs that also includes entries from Herberth Motorsport and others.
Team MPC continues to uphold Audi’s legacy with four Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO IIs, while Aston Martin, McLaren, Lamborghini, and various other brands round out the diverse grid. Non-GT3 entries are limited to Team NZ’s Aston Martin Vantage GT4 and Method Motorsport’s McLaren Artura GT4, alongside an Invitational category featuring 111 Racing’s IRC GT and a KTM X-Bow GT2 from KTM Vantage Racing.
Event Director Shane Rudzis remarked, “To release an entry list before Christmas speaks volumes about the growth of this event.” He highlighted the significance of welcoming Ford Racing, stating, “Seeing Haupt Racing Team bring their entry to life is a huge moment for all of us.”
With teams from 11 countries and a mixture of new manufacturers, the 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour promises an exceptional display of competitive spirit. Rudzis concluded, “We can’t wait to see that iconic sunrise over the Mountain on race day.”
Tickets and hospitality options are selling fast, underscoring the excitement surrounding this year’s event, set for February.
