2026 European Le Mans Series: Entry List for 4 Hours of Barcelona Revealed
The entry list for the inaugural round of the 2026 European Le Mans Series (ELMS), the 4 Hours of Barcelona, has been officially released, confirming a robust 47-car grid.
LMP2 Insights
The LMP2 class features 11 entries, with Nielsen Racing announcing Jack Doohan as the final driver to complete their lineup. Inter Europol Competition stands out with the only two-driver configuration, fielding Bijoy Garg and Reshad De Gerus in the #34 ORECA 07 – Gibson. The LMP2 Pro/Am category is notable for its record 12-car participation. Jens Reno Møller joins Cem Bölukbaşi in the #7 ORECA for Vector Sport, marking a significant change as Jacob Abel is no longer on the entry list. René Binder reunites with Proton Competition for his third consecutive season, teaming with Horst Felbermayr and Horst Felix Felbermayr in the #88 ORECA.
LMP3 Developments
The LMP3 class includes 10 entries, dominated by nine Ligier JS P325 cars accompanied by a single Duqueine D09. Defending drivers’ champion Paul Lanchere will drive the #17 Ligier for CLX Motorsport, alongside Alexander Jacoby and Bruno Ribeiro. Additionally, Lenny Ried joins the Racing Spirit of Leman in their #31 Ligier.
LMGT3 Expansion
In LMGT3, 14 cars make up the grid, the largest since 2015. Spirit of Race retains its #55 Ferrari 296 LMGT3 Evo lineup with Matt Griffin, David Perel, and Duncan Cameron. At Team Qatar by Iron Lynx, Julian Hanses partners with Adam Christodoulou and rookie Abdulla Ali Al-Khelaifi in the #62 Mercedes-AMG LMGT3. Huub Van Eijndhoven, alongside Porsche’s Harry King and ‘Bankcy’, will compete in Proton Competition’s #77 Porsche 911 GT3 R, although King will miss part of the season due to scheduling conflicts with his IMSA commitments.
Upcoming Schedule
The 2026 4 Hours of Barcelona is set for April 10-12, with a pre-season test scheduled for April 6-7.
