Notably, Brazilian racer Pedro Ebrahim replaces Timur Boguslavskiy, who is sidelined due to illness, joining Yasser Shahin and Augusto Farfus in the cockpit.
Visit to General Motors Facility
Cadillac Racing members, including driver Will Stevens, toured General Motors’ historic São Caetano do Sul plant, which recently underwent a R$10 billion modernization. The facility has a production capacity of 53 vehicles per hour. Program Manager Keely Bosn praised the automation and quality of the production process, highlighting the pride of the workforce.
Circuit Developments
In addition to a recent double resurfacing of the Interlagos track, a new hospitality and service building is nearing completion. Race week sees the facility displaying an impressive array of race cars connected to Brazilian motorsport.
Broadcast Changes
With Anthony Davidson unavailable for the Interlagos round, Darren Turner will step in as the WEC communications voice, joining regulars Martin Haven, Graham Goodwin, and Bruce Jouanny for the broadcast. Turner previously achieved notable success in the WEC, securing four podium finishes during the 2019/2020 season.
Driver Line-Up Adjustments
The #78 Lexus RC F LMGT3 of AKKODIS ASP sees Yuichi Nakayama return, partnering with Finn Gehrsitz and Arnold Robin. This follows a series of substitutions for the team, showcasing the challenges of maintaining consistent driver line-ups due to injuries and scheduling conflicts.
