BMW M Motorsport Unveils 2026 M Hybrid V8 Prototype Livery

BMW M Motorsport has officially revealed the racing livery for its redesigned M Hybrid V8 prototype ahead of the 2026 season, marking a significant visual and technical advancement for the team.

Both BMW M Team WRT vehicles will feature the new “Inception Design” livery, previously showcased on the #15 car in the FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar category during 2025. “For the 2026 season, the car also debuts a new livery based on the Inception Design, now applied across all BMW M Motorsport LMDh cars, uniting the entire BMW M race car family under one consistent look,” the manufacturer announced via social media.

The two prototypes will be distinguished by distinct windscreen banners; the #25 car will sport a red banner, while the #24 will feature blue.

The 2026 debut at Daytona will introduce the latest updates to the M Hybrid V8, which include improvements in aerodynamic balance and aesthetic modifications like a smaller kidney grille and restructured headlights. This event also marks WRT’s transition to a full-time North American operation, succeeding Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing as BMW’s GTP service provider.

As anticipation builds for the season opener, the new livery and technical enhancements aim to position BMW M Motorsport competitively in the upcoming racing season.
