European Le Mans Series Set for Thrilling Finale in Portimão
The 2025 European Le Mans Series (ELMS) culminates with the 4 Hours of Portimão at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, featuring a full capacity grid of 44 cars. Scheduled for October 17-18, this decisive round will see significant championship implications across three of the four class titles.
The entry list mirrors that of the previous round at Silverstone, with notable driver changes. In the LMP2 Pro/Am category, the #3 DKR Engineering ORECA 07 – Gibson has yet to finalize its lineup, with “TBA” replacing Thomas Laurent, who was last seen racing alongside Felipe Fraga. Georgios Kolovos and Laurents Hörr will continue their involvement in the lineup.
In LMP3, Eurointernational reintroduces a three-driver format for the #11 Ligier JS P325 – Toyota. Miguel Cristóvāo returns to the series, joining regulars Fabien Michal and Ian Aguilera, marking his first race in the ELMS since the season opener in Barcelona.
Portimão will showcase the competitive spirit of local talent, with Cristóvāo among four home drivers on the grid. Algarve Pro Racing, leading the LMP2 Pro/Am teams’ championship, adds to the Portuguese representation.
With three class championships still up for grabs, anticipation builds as teams finalize preparations for the final showdown of the season.
