Nick Cassidy Set to Join Peugeot Sport’s Hypercar Roster

Austin, TX — Kiwi driver Nick Cassidy is poised to join Peugeot Sport’s Hypercar lineup, indicated by a recent exchange shared on the team’s Instagram account. The message congratulates Cassidy on his performance in Formula E and confirms his attendance at the upcoming Lone Star Le Mans in Austin this September.

The communication from Peugeot stated, “We booked you a flight to Austin this September. Let’s chat 2025/2026 FIA WEC plans, you in?” Cassidy promptly responded, “I can’t wait to catch up in Austin, let’s talk soon.”

Cassidy, 30, brings a strong resume, including titles in both Formula E and Super GT, and 11 Formula E victories. Although he has not yet competed in a Hypercar, he has prior experience in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), racing with AF Corse in the GTE Am category in 2022.

While Cassidy’s role within the six-driver team remains unconfirmed, paddock sources indicate that he may not be the only addition to Peugeot’s lineup next season. The specifics of who he would replace have not yet been disclosed.

As the motorsports community anticipates his official announcement, Cassidy’s potential entry marks a significant development for Peugeot Sport’s competitive strategy in the forthcoming seasons.
