Haughton Signs with Fulgenzi Racing for GT3 Debut

Harley Haughton, the reigning NLS Cup 3 drivers’ champion, is set to make his GT3 debut with Fulgenzi Racing at the 24H Dubai after a late call-up. Haughton will drive the #17 Porsche 911 GT3 R alongside Alessandro Giannone, Andrea Girondi, and Enrico Fernando Fulgenzi in the GT3 Pro-Am class.

Haughton previously competed at the 24H Dubai last year, finishing second in GT4 with SRS Team Rennsport. He aims to leverage this experience to adapt quickly to the GT3 car, stating, “I am hugely grateful to the team for the opportunity… My personal aim is to get my lap times down to as close as possible to the numerous factory and professional drivers.”

Ginetta GT2 Driver Line-Up Changes Ahead of 24-Hour Race

The driver roster for the Ginetta G56 GT2’s 24-hour race debut has undergone significant changes, with Jack Mitchell and Andrew Bentley replacing Lawrence and Freddie Tomlinson. Joining Mike Simpson and Nico Prost in the #795 Team CMR entry, the updated lineup follows a promising performance at the 6H Abu Dhabi, where Mitchell and Simpson qualified on pole before facing mechanical issues.

Entry List Updates and Class Confirmations for 24H Dubai

An updated entry list for the 24H Dubai has confirmed class distributions and withdrawals. The GT3 category includes 14 entries in GT3-Pro and a total of 34 cars overall. Notable withdrawals include the #26 Sainteloc Junior Team Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II and two GT4 entries, reducing the GT4 class to three competitors. The event will feature 66 cars in total.

Championship Standings Overview

As the final event of Creventic’s 24H Series Middle East Trophy approaches, all classes remain competitive. Herberth Motorsport’s #10 Porsche leads GT3 standings with 76 points, followed by the #87 Origine powered by CC Porsche at 58 points. The race offers a full points opportunity at both the 12-hour mark and finish, with several drivers needing to leverage their potential drop scores effectively.

Event Timetable

The 24H Dubai will follow a three-day format, initiated by two days of optional testing. Key sessions include Free Practice at 10:30 GST on January 16, Qualifying at 13:45 GST, and the Night Practice at 19:00 GST. The race commences at 13:00 GST on January 17.
