GT World Challenge America: Sebring Qualifying Highlights
Sebring, FL – In a highly competitive qualifying session at Sebring, Philip Ellis clinched pole position for the #91 Regulator Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO, while Robby Foley secured the pole for tomorrow’s race in the #29 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 EVO.
Qualifying Session 1 Results:
Ellis recorded a blistering lap time of 1:59.839, overtaking Kenton Koch’s #99 Random Vandals Racing BMW, who had set a provisional pole time of 1:59.984 with under five minutes remaining. The session concluded with Alex Sedgwick’s #18 RS1 Porsche 911 GT3 R taking third, followed closely by Michai Stephens in the #34 JMF Motorsports Mercedes-AMG. Blake McDonald finished as the top Bronze driver with a fifth-place effort in the #11 DXDT Racing Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R.
Notably, Jason Daskalos’s #27 CRP Racing Mercedes-AMG had its times disqualified after sustaining damage late in the session.
Qualifying Session 2 Results:
The second session faced disruption due to a red flag triggered by the #6 Dollahite Racing Ford Mustang GT3 losing its left-rear wheel during tire warm-up. Connor De Phillippi led early on with a time of 1:59.925, but Robby Foley quickly eclipsed this with a lap of 1:59.478, solidifying his top slot. Matt Bell ensured the #11 DXDT Corvette started from the front row with a time of 1:59.795. The session wrapped up with Jan Heylen’s #18 RS1 Porsche securing fourth.

Saturday’s race will commence at 3:00 PM ET and will be broadcast live on the official GT World YouTube channel and RACER Network in the United States.
