Toyota Gazoo Racing Announces Drivers for 2025 FIA WEC Rookie Test
Bahrain – Toyota Gazoo Racing has confirmed Sacha Fenestraz and Ben Barnicoat as drivers for the GR010 HYBRID at the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) Rookie Test, scheduled for next month in Bahrain.

Sacha Fenestraz: The 26-year-old French-Argentine driver is currently competing in both Super Formula and Super GT, where he ranks fifth in the Super GT standings with TGR Team SARD. This will mark Fenestraz’s first experience in a Hypercar.

Ben Barnicoat: Previously tested the GR010 HYBRID during the 2024 Rookie Test. He is currently active in the FIA WEC’s LMGT3 class with the Lexus RC F GT3 through AKKODIS ASP and also competes in the IMSA SportsCar Championship’s GTD Pro ranks with Vasser Sullivan.
Additional Confirmations: The WEC has also selected Ollie Grey and Thomas Fleming to test Hypercar and LMGT3 vehicles, respectively. Peugeot has announced its lineup, including Nick Cassidy, Mathias Beche, and Alex Quinn, for the 9X8 test.
