Ferrari AF Corse Maintains Driver Line-Up for 2026 FIA WEC Season

Ferrari AF Corse has announced a historic decision to retain its factory driver roster for the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), marking the first instance of a manufacturer maintaining the same lineup for four consecutive seasons.

Returning to the #50 Ferrari 499P are 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans winners Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, and Nicklas Nielsen. The #51 entry will feature 2023 Le Mans champions and reigning drivers’ world champions Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Antonio Giovinazzi.

Ferrari’s decision follows a remarkably successful season in which the team captured the drivers’ and manufacturers’ championships after winning the first four rounds of the FIA WEC, including a notable podium sweep in Qatar and a 1-3 finish at Le Mans. Despite a quieter second half of the season, their early momentum secured their dominance.

In addition, Ferrari has confirmed that it will not utilize the number 1 designation earned from their championship victory, opting instead for the traditional car numbers.

The privateer #83 Ferrari 499P, which won the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans, will also compete in 2026, with factory driver Ye Yifei confirmed initially. Ye, alongside teammates Robert Kubica and Phil Hanson, achieved a second-place finish in the 2025 drivers’ World Championship. Kubica’s plans for next season remain unclear.

The upcoming 2026 season is projected to feature a 17-car Hypercar field, with Genesis joining and Porsche departing. The full entry list is anticipated to be released shortly.
