Ferrari Extends Contract with Alessio Rovera Amid Strong Performance
Ferrari has secured Alessio Rovera’s position within its factory driver roster through a multi-year contract extension. The 30-year-old Italian driver, who joined the team in 2022, has made significant contributions across various racing disciplines, notably in both the GTE and GT3 categories.
Rovera’s achievements include class victories in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and a GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup title secured in 2024. He has also excelled in prototype racing, clinching the LMP2 Pro/Am title in the European Le Mans Series last year with AF Corse.
Currently competing in the WEC’s LMGT3 class alongside teammates Simon Mann and Francois Heriau, Rovera and his team are positioned second in the championship standings as they head into the final three races of the season.
“I am truly happy and proud to be able to continue my journey with Ferrari,” Rovera stated. “Wearing these colors and representing such a prestigious name is both an honour and a great responsibility.”
Rovera is not the only driver to receive a new contract this summer; Antonio Giovinazzi, who triumphed at the Centenary Le Mans, also received a multi-year extension earlier this month.
This renewal underscores Ferrari’s commitment to strengthening its driver lineup in high-stakes motorsport competitions.
