GT3 Revival Series Kicks Off with 31-Strong Entry
The inaugural round of the GT3 Revival Series, a collaboration between SRO and Peter Auto, is set to begin with a competitive field of 31 cars. This series focuses on GT3 models produced between 2006 and 2013, split into two classes: Pro/Am with seven entries and Am featuring 24.
Manufacturers and Entries
A diverse lineup of nine manufacturers highlights the grid. The Audi R8 stands out with seven entries, while both the Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 and Porsche 997 GT3 R contribute five cars each. The grid will also include four Ferrari 458s and a single Ferrari 430, along with three BMW Z4 GT3s, two Ford GTs, a Corvette Z06, a Lamborghini Gallardo, and a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3.
Notable Drivers
Prominent drivers expected to compete include Alvaro Parente, co-driving the #47 Quinntech Motorsport Audi with Mark Cole, and Phil Keen, who will pilot Barwell Motorsport’s #78 Lamborghini alongside Adam Balon. Period drivers like Pierre Hirschi will race the #30 CMR BMW with his son Jonathan, while the #87 Ferrari 458 will be driven by Jean-Luc Beaubelique and Jim Pla for Storic and Race Cars, Akkodis’ classic arm.
Technical Insights
Pirelli will supply its P Zero DHG tyres for the event, the same model used in the GT World Challenge, ensuring a competitive edge in performance.
Event Schedule
Track activities commence Friday with two 45-minute practice sessions, followed by qualifying on Saturday. The series will culminate in two 50-minute races scheduled for Sunday, April 12, 2026.
This promising debut sets the stage for an exciting revival of classic GT3 racing.
