Aston Martin’s Ross Gunn Rejoins Beechdean AMR for 2026 British GT Campaign
Aston Martin works driver Ross Gunn confirmed his return to Beechdean AMR for the 2026 British GT Championship, teaming up with reigning Silver-Am champion Andrew Howard. The duo aims to build on their previous success after competing together in the 2023 season.
Beechdean AMR’s Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 will showcase a nostalgic livery reminiscent of its successful 2016 campaign, which secured the British GT title and an ELMS GTE championship.
Gunn is no stranger to Beechdean AMR; he first raced alongside Howard a decade ago in an Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3. His track record includes a GT4 championship in 2015 and involvement in Aston Martin’s Valkyrie Hypercar program over the past year in both IMSA and the FIA WEC. The pair recently reunited at the 2025 24 Hours of Spa, earning a Bronze Cup podium finish.
“I’m so excited to be back in the British GT Championship for 2026,” Gunn stated. “It’s brilliant to race again with Beechdean AMR and with Andrew. I aim to pick up where we left off and be fighting for the top spots.”
Howard expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming season, stating, “We’re aiming even higher as we return to the Pro-Am class. Having Ross back is fantastic, and I’m looking forward to the coming season more than I have for a long time.”
The 34th season of the British GT Championship kicks off with a media day at Silverstone on March 31, followed by the Silverstone 500 on April 25-26.
