Ibiza Farm Motorsports Claims First Victory of Season at Sebring
Sebring, FL – Ibiza Farm Motorsports, led by co-drivers Moisey Uretsky and Michael Cooper, secured their first victory of the 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season on Friday, triumphing in the Alan Jay Automotive Network 120 at the iconic Sebring International Raceway. This marked the team’s fourth overall IMSA win and their first at Sebring, a historic venue known for its challenging layout.
Uretsky, starting second in the #44 McLaren Artura GT4, navigated a chaotic race, including a ten-car pileup at the start that resulted in a nearly 30-minute caution. Uretsky managed to maintain his position, subsequently handing the car over to Cooper, who skillfully defended against the competition to finish 2.506 seconds ahead of Daan Arrow in Winward Racing’s #57 Mercedes AMG-GT4.
“This start was a little too much, maybe,” Cooper remarked on the chaotic opening. “But from there it was a good clean run. I was able to capitalize on others’ mistakes in the hotter conditions.”
Second-place finisher Arrow, alongside co-driver Bryce Ward, and Dillon Machavern from Turner Motorsport, who drove the #95 BMW M4 GT4 EVO to third, faced fierce competition throughout the race. Machavern reflected, “That start changed our strategy quite a bit. The Turner Motorsport boys put an awesome car out there.”
In the Touring Car (TCR) class, the #99 Cupra León VZ TCR team of Franco Girolami and Tyler Gonzalez from Victor Gonzalez Racing excelled. Following a strategic race that began with 30 minutes behind the Safety Car, Gonzalez took the lead after the final pit stops and finished 13.988 seconds clear of the field.
“This victory comes from a well-executed strategy by the team,” Gonzalez stated. “I just had to get in and not make any mistakes.”
Girolami expressed surprise at securing victory so early in his IMSA career, saying, “I’m so happy to win for the first time in America… It’s just amazing.”
The next round of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge is set for May 1-2 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, marking the final appearance for the series at the venue before it is replaced by Lime Rock Park in 2027.
